Jorja Crist, an incredible friend
By far, one of my most significant pieces to date. It is a work of passion, rather than forced creativity. The day after my birthday, she leaned against my couch and looked out the window. She was unintentionally in a perfect position, underneath incredible lighting. It was so picturesque, and I knew it needed to be painted at that moment.
As I painted, the texture began to form. Partly inspired by other impressionistic artists like Monett or Van Gogh, but it became more pixelized reflecting her love for gaming.
This traditional portrait now hangs on her wall, with a little bit of me with it.

Mother's Day Gift
Throughout the years, my mom encouraged creativity in our home. She was never afraid of a mess, so she let us explore colors by mixing paints together and getting it everywhere. I still remember the oversized T-shirts that were our designated painting shirts.
She herself is an artist, but one of paper. In her room there was the largest crafting center that nearly reached the ceiling. The shelves completely stacked with different styles of paper. She would spend hours making cards, notebooks, bookmarks, etc...
Art seems to be a hereditary trait
